| BCM | wPi | Name | Mode | V | Physical | V | Mode | Name | wPi | BCM | I use Raspbian Linux operating system on the Pi, and I'm familiar with the operating system (I'm pretty comfortable with Ubuntu Linux server command line). I don't think I've installed any additional 3rd party software specifically for interfacing with GPIO. I put together (without instructions) the ribbon cable from the Pi, the Breadboard Interface Board from the ribbon cable, the Breadboard from the Breadboard Interface Board. I got it the Christmas of 2015 (as an idea of its age). I recall reading some information on GPIO in general.Īlso, some great information to know is that I use the RaspberryPi 2 ("Raspberry Pi 2 Ultimate Starter Kit" from CanaKit). I have tried looking at the diagrams looking for information on the GPIO command on the website trying a help search in the command line using both 'help gpio' and 'gpio -help' and playing with the numbers. How would I go about using the other pins? How would I read the diagrams of the pins? And, why is the gpio command never formally/officially discussed on the website? However, this tutorial only shows how to output a signal from the 17th pin ( pin "0", I think is what they use in development for anything on the RaspberryPi). So I was playing around with commands in the command interface and came across the 'gpio' command.
